David Gould

David was a choral scholar at St John's College, Cambridge and was a member of Westminster Cathedral choir from 1993 until 1998. He is an experienced consort and choral singer appearing regularly with many leading choirs and ensembles, including the Cardinall's Musick, Hilliard Ensemble and the Tallis Scholars. With the Hilliard Ensemble, he has sung in over 30 concerts in locations from Sicily to Edinburgh, featuring the music of Gesualdo, Machaut, Morales, Monteverdi, Bach and many others. He is a regular member of the Cardinall's Musick and appears on almost all of their CD releases, including their collection of all William Byrd's Latin Church music.

As a soloist, he appears regularly with choral societies and other choirs. He also gives solo recitals featuring the music of Purcell, Handel, Byrd and Dowland. From 1999 until 2004 he was the conductor of the Stanmore choral society and he currently conducts the Sine Nomine Singers, a small chamber choir based in north-west London.

In addition to his musical activities, he works part time as a computer programmer.
