Bristol Bach Choir
40 Years of Singing The Bristol Bach Choir is proud of its contribution to music making in Bristol during the last 40 years. Over time, it has carved out a distinctive style under four distinguished conductors. Its heritage of high quality choral singing is unparalleled in the city. The Choir looks forward to the next 40 years with enthusiasm and energy. Its passion and commitment is undiminished, and the Choir will continue to provide music making of excellence with innovative and ground-breaking programmes. The Choir is one of the finest in Bristol and the South West performing music ranging from the renaissance to the contemporary. The Choir performs in some of the finest venues in the Bristol area, including St Mary Redcliffe, St George’s Bristol and the cathedrals at Gloucester, Wells, and Clifton. The Choir has broadcast many times on radio and television and won HTV's first 'Sing Out!' competition in 1996. It has appeared on 'Sunday Morning' on ITV and BSkyB TV Arts. In October 2005, the Choir was chosen to be one of three choirs from across Europe to participate in Mariele Ventre International Competition for Choral Conductors in Bologna.
