1. A musician with excellent musical qualifications and experience of working with amateur and professional musicians at the highest level.
   


2. Wide experience of training and conducting amateur and/or professional choirs who aspire to the highest musical standards.
   


3. Wide knowledge and deep understanding of the choral repertoire.
   


4. Experience of working with professional soloists and instrumentalists and an ability to inspire their confidence.
   


5. Ability to inspire and excite the choir to tackle unfamiliar and challenging music.
   


6. Ability to work productively with the choir committee to plan and prepare adventurous and ambitious future concerts.
   


7. Ability to promote successfully the choir’s image and reputation within the locality and beyond.
